           Soup is a liquid food consisting mainly of broth and meat,seafood or vegetables and in America we think of soup as a appetizer in many other countries it is served as a complete meal. Soup is a easy way to start to cook if you think you won't know what to do first, because you can put anything you want in the liquid and simmer, sit down and enjoy the afternoon and serve the soup at dinner.       Salads as we know them today are truly American but they did not really invent it. We Americans have made the salad very popular, especially with the women. They are dainty, and colorful, and they are eye-appealing which makes a lot of sense we eat with our eyes first, and they complement most meals and can be used as a entree (main course) or a side salad with other foods.

                                             Herbs and Spices
           
 Herbs and spices play a major part in any food preparation because without them most foods would be quite bland. The proper use of spices and herbs is a art that can only be acquired by frequent practice, and it is a way to create different and more exciting foods and that is what the general public is searching for today. Herbs and spices, like cheese are as old as civilization 
            1. Herbs and spices should be used to enhance natural flavor not disguise it.                                          
            2. Always season in moderation, more can be added, but none can be taken away.. 
            3. If your foods require a long cooking time and you are using ground spices add to the end of
                your cooking if you are using whole form, add to the start.
            4. I'll will list the herbs and spices you should have on hand (always) in the back of the book.              
            5. Number 2 is the most important one to remember..........      
I have and so has a good friend of mine, been looking for a 100% Gluten Free cook book with not good results, it seems that the recipe books have some recipes that are gluten free but I would like to see a gluten free cook book all (Gluten Free)... So I will show you what a 100% gluten free cook book looks like. Every page you look at is there for you health, so you go for it.  Start your 1st day on your gluten free 1 week trail by getting the breakfast you would eat out and just look at it, is there flour in it at all? you answered yes to yourself, the toast, the muffin or that bagel, well get rid of it... have a extra piece of fruit or a cup of yogurt. You will never know that you didn't have that piece of toast you will be so full and without that pasty feeling you get from the (gluten) hence the word (glue). People seem to think that it is real easy to just get gluten free food, but a lot like the old saying you can't judge a book by its cover, that is so true. Please don't be fooled... It just takes that one meal that was told to you was gluten free and something in there was not, now you feel yuk (E) but there is nothing you can do about it. Keep your head up high and you will find that you are feeling better and better each day by taking out the flour (wheat) from your diet, it will show and you won't believe it at first and it becomes so easy to stay happy and much healthier.

Food Inventions

Eggs are a complete protein food, and are easy to digest when they are properly cooked. They are used in many menu items from appetizers to desserts, and they are inexpensive if you are thinking a lot about food cost these days. I will name a few for you, then we can use the egg to make many different types of food for all day meals. There is the fried egg, sunny side up, over easy, over med., over hard, scrambled, boiled, poached, and omelets, and many types of omelets there are too, that is where you can  put anything you want in it, a invention! We  will go on to the pancakes, the waffles with all that good stuff in them too, (invention), fried potatoes and some toast and the cereals that we just can't forget, and they come in those cute little box's O-boy this is more fun then I thought. When we are done with our breakfast we can relax and enjoy all that good food we ate, and know we can have a healthy choice of foods and have fun with it where ever we go, because we invented it.When you are ready lets go to lunch. Food Iventions for Family and Friends (always care)

I started cooking without knowing that it would be my dream come true,my ability to share with my family and friends what I loved to do. I would bring to gatherings my dish or two, my tray of mini sands and my ham and cheese (roll ups) my husband favorite, to all the parties we went to, then it became the wings and the tropical meatballs. I started making (inventing) different food to bring to the gatherings, it was becoming the (I'll ask them what they want me to make) so I did. Then everyone was calling me to make what they wanted, not what I was going to bring. My plates of food got larger, so I went to a food supply store for some trays (round trays) I couldn't believe all the things they had in there, to make your food look like the pictures in the magazines. I was hooked!!! I was going to make everyone happy... I then started to make cheese tray, meat trays, meat and cheese trays, veggie trays, fruit trays, any tray they wanted I would make. The word invention came about when our 2 1/2 year old asked me, mom are we going to have another invention again? (yes) she was 2 1/2 I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I then knew, I had to do the cooking in this house, and my husband loved it too. My 2 1/2 year old had been listening to me and my husband talk about what was for dinner,and with not a lot of money we made do with what we could get. That's why I called it my inventions in front of our little girl. My husband or my daughter did not care how much it cost, it tasted good, real good and it got better and better. So I started each meal with what ever we had in the kitchen for food. I would put it together and (wala) something to eat! they never complained. So I would make something from nothing again the next night, and the next, I was doing something that made my family happy and me too! What a great beginning!!! Now I just can't stop so I will be telling you as I go on how much food means to your family and your friends and you... Thank you for being part of my family and a friend.              As the days went on we were so happy with our lives and what we were doing each day, that it did not matter that we could not go out with the neighbors and their kids to the shows and to the resturants like they did, we did our own thing we invented our dinner, it became a game each night of who had a idea for what to eat. It was fun for all of us, and it kept us thinking all the time and the little one knew she was important too. (well it was her invention idea!) that now has come all this way, and will be put down on paper so everyone can see what can be done with family and friends...  This book is dedicated to my husband and kids other family and friends, (sweetie) you said, SWEETIE YOU CAN DO IT! so I am going to...
